Pc or console?

Hi. My name is penguin. I have recently saved up $250 for a computer. My parents are helping me out with the other 250, and I am getting some extra money from my relitaves. I’m making this thread to see if I should get a laptop, (since I have to go back and forward from 2 houses,) a setup, or a gaming console (for affordability.) Thanks for reading.

I would recommend console if all of your irl friends play in console, otherwise I'd probs recommend a laptop as it is handy because you can travel with it.

Don't buy a laptop, cheap laptops (<500 USD) are worse than consoles
With 500 USD you can buy a better than consoles PC

That's only some games, most esport titles and some mid range aaa title such as COD Black Ops 4 can easily run

Not "some", but a lot of games. In the future lots of games won't run on 1060 3gb because VRAM won't be enough
At the same price of 1060 3GB you can also buy a RX 580 8GB, that is a lot better than 1060

did you not see what I put above? It's like iOS vs Android, iOS is optimized whilst Android isn't.
Similiar to how NVIDIA GPU's are optimized for games while AMD GPU'S Aren't. Here's an example

It'll be good for quite a while considering 2GB Vram handles most stuff

Maybe perhaps get a decent setup computer for one house for like $300 and then find either a used Xbox One S on eBay or something for the other house.

But if you're gonna be moving around and you want to stick with just one thing I would either recommend a Nintendo Switch, 3DS or a Laptop.

most esport titles including fortnite, most popular game in the world are nvidia optimized

I mean honestly with your current budget which is $250, you can go for a used PS4, or if you get more, you can go for used gaming parts and make a decent, but it's your choice.
