he’s just looking for a simple system that’ll do his job of running MC at a good fps not a whole ass gaming pc man, that system would do him fine if he just upgraded the ram to at least 16gigs. how much would you be paying for this system?[DOUBLEPOST=1562199928][/DOUBLEPOST]might also want a bigger hard drive like a 1tb one. Spare $100 for upgrading this

Honestly, I don't think the cpu, gpu, and storage are that bad. You'll be able to play minecraft as per mojans self published recommended settings. https://help.mojang.com/customer/en...48-minecraft-java-edition-system-requirementshttps://help.mojang.com/customer/en...48-minecraft-java-edition-system-requirements

That being said. I'd highly suggest swapping out the ram kit that comes with the computer as it'll become difficult to run a lot of programs at the same time and you will frequently experience lag as your working memory (Ram (Random Access Memory)) will very easily be capped. Think of it like this. Minecrafts recommended specs are 8gbs of ram and since you only have 8 gbs of ram it might proove to be difficult to do other stuff if you just meet the recommended specifications. Then again this isn't entirely true as your settings can be refined and you can allocate less ram to the game and still have it run smoothly. As for my opinion I think you can do all that you're looking for with this computer. It might take a lot of adjustments and refining everything, but I think it's possible.

A lot of computer manufacturers like hp/dell/alienware used to or still do brand their computers around the staple components like the cpu and gpu and skimp out on the rest. You might also find if you do more research that a lot of important information isn't stated like what motherboard you're getting, power supply, full ram specifcations/manufacturers, and storage specifications/manufacturer. All of which is extremely important information in determining if the computer is right for you. I'd personally never recommend anyone to ever buy a computer from those companies as of these practices.

However that being said V2. Like what others suggested I think you should build a computer. Not only will you gain a lot of helpful knowledge about computers but you'll also save money and get better specs for your moneys worth. It's also a pretty enjoyable/memorable time. I think most of us can agree on that. I personally built my first computer with the help of a friend and it was really exciting/rewarding to feel that I accomplished something that I personally felt incapable of.

I'd only recommend getting a gaming laptop if you travel a lot, because what is a laptop good for that a desktop isn't? Portability among other things. Also, you'll find that laptops are usually more expensive for what you get, and performance a lot worse because they're throttled to reduce the amount of heat generated. Because all of the components are in a small poorly ventilated confined space manufacturers use throttled components to reduce the amount of heat generated.

I'd personally only get a laptop as a tool to use out on the go. Whatever you need to be defined as a tool is what you'll need to get.

If you end up deciding to build a computer feel free to reach out to me personally. I build enthusiast gaming computers professionally and would happy to answer all the questions you may have. Should you not want to build your own I also offer services in which I'll build, and ship the computer out to you.
I think I may get AMD Ryzen 5 2500U Laptop, 8GB, Vega 8 Graphics, Brand New, Quad core. You guys think that'll handle the things I stated above?

(Mc Constant 120 FPS With Discord opened and few tabs on my browser) ?

Okay, here's an idea. Build your own, don't buy prebuilt. Your local computer shop will most likely do this you for cheap.

My recommended specs for your price range:

i5-4600
DDR4 Ram (8 GB, ram is expensive)
Samsung 860 EVO 250GB
Any random 1TB WD Harddrive
GTX 1060 or 970 (970 can spit out more performance & more ram assuming you'd go with the 3gb variant of the 1060)
Gigabyte are usually good for motherboards, have a look around there, just make sure it matches the i5-4460 LGA 1151 socket.
I won't buy a pc, Ik it's in the title, but I changed my mind. Now, I'm just asking if AMD Ryzen 5 2500U Laptop, 8GB, Vega 8 Graphics, Brand New, Quad core is good for the stuff I listed (Minecraft at Constant 120 FPS and at the same Time having Discord and a few tabs opened on my browser)

Yea, I just came here to tell you guys that I bought the i5 6500 PC xD. It's great at multitasking and runs mc at 200-1000 FPS. I turn shaders on + high settings and it's 110-150 constant, no fps drop.
