So i recently got this new 144htz monitor its the hp OMEN, Its really nice and all but when i play usually when i pvp for some reason my fps drops. this started to happen once i put on this monitor. I have a amd computer (not the best) but when i had my 60htz monitor it didnt happen. on 120htz its a little better but still. is there anyway to fix this?

PebbleHost
High performance, consistent uptime and fast support. Minecraft hosting that just works.

How do you know it's your Monitor that's lagging?

Try to toggle FreeSync or GSync. Considering you have an AMD card I assume you are also using a monitor that supports FreeSync.

Set priority on minecraft to low in task manager, come back to me when you've done that.

That would make Minecraft lag more. Set the priority to high to have Windows prioritize it over other applications.

Radiotic make sure you do not have too many programs running in the background. In addition to that make sure you do have the monitors refresh rate set to 144hz in Windows and within the monitor's settings.

he was talking about lag spikes, if his pc is getting lag spikes prioritization on low would help more, i have experience with this same scenario. if this doesnt work Radiotic tell me how much ram you have, if you have 8 gigs use this in your JVM arguements.
-Xmx4G
do i remove the whole code and just put that or replace the 3 with an 8 because i have 16gb?
