Hello,

So don't think a lot of people know my outside life from MC and the site etc.

But when I was about 13 I've been wanting a pet of my own. I was looking for a dog mainly and I know raising a pet was a huge responsibility.

I've came upon a puppy, it was extremely cute and knew I was going to get it, I then drawn my attention to look around more to see if a dog was my style or something I'd like, I then looked around more in the store and came upon the bunny section then I saw a few cute bunnies and felt deeply in love when I saw them.

At the end we picked this cute half white and half black rabbit. His breed is a Lion Head he was one or the sweetest things you can hold. Ever since then I've taken care of him.

April 3rd 2017,

My rabbit has been acting strange, of course I love him with a passion and any small little issues I get stressed over and basically can't sleep at night, that normally ruins my days at work because I'm very sleepy or not motivated because I'm too scared of the possible outcome.

A few months around October my rabbit has caught fleas. Mainly from my dog but we got that issue situated with a antidote that took no longer then 24 hours to kill all fleas off.

On April 3rd 2017 he's been acting strange by constatly licking himself around his back and front paws. I assumed it was fleas again but didn't find any flea dirt or fleas...

Later that day I called up the vet and drove him to the vet for professional help and advice, they're telling me everything is pretty normal but rabbits are complex to work with when it comes with bahavior issues. They then gave me some papers to read over and try using some methods like more fiber, grains, etc.

Today April 5th not much progress since nothing has changed but now I just feel like he may be getting old... and the older animals and humans get we get more issues in our lifetime... maybe it's just a phase or just the beginning of a path to trouble.

The point I'm making is I stress over my pets because I LOVE animals with a passion. I've always grown up with them, they're nothing but cute adorable creatures that deserve nothing but love and it hurts me watching these sort of things happen. Like my heart is broken whenever these kinds of issues come.

here is my little creature.

Sorry if the thread is long to read, but for those who aren't lazy to read and came this far. Thanks for listening atleast.

Do you have a pet of your own and are you the same way as me when problems like this occurs? That is my question.

I have a brown bunny that is less than a year old, and he licks himself and stuff like that everyday. So it is not an age issue, but we got him just 3 weeks ago, so we still need to bring him to the vet or something like that to check if he has fleas. He's usually scratching himself behind the ears and such, so I am assuming it is fleas. Could you possibly tell me that antidote you used?

Also very cute bunny <3

GL, hope he gets better.
Atm I have 2 dogs. Before I moved from Tennessee, I had 3 dogs, 3 miniature horses, what started out as 3 goats, they made like bunnies and by the time we moved we had about 20 (That doesn't include the 50+ we sold), about 15 or so chickens, and we went through many cats that eventually my dad took to the pound because he's dumb... but yeah, we had about 9 baby cats before we left. Had to give them away before we could move.. I have some pictures of some of them on my Insta.

I don't think much anything's wrong or the vet would've noticed it. But I'll pray for 'em weather it means anything or not! Best of luck!

Edit: Just found a few pictures on my family member's instagram of one of my dogs Beau.

Hello,

The antidote was given by our vet. It's a liquid that you put behind its neck (move its hair as much as possible try and lay it on top of skin) and it's supposed to make its way around the entire body and kill the fleas. The vet added a custom amount because it's about how much your bunny weighs. It'll look like a shot but it has no needle and it's just a liquid that's supposed to be placed on the back of its neck.[DOUBLEPOST=1491446020][/DOUBLEPOST]

Vet costs a lot of cash.

That's why I refuse to bring mine back unless it's crushing my heart or a real emergency.

Although to save you the cash, I would get a flea comb. And brush around the areas he's scratching and if you come across flea dirt (small black dots) place alcohol on it and rub it around on a tissue or something, if its red, it's most likely fleas because that's the blood they left behind. And you'll definitely need to go to a vet to kill them off.

Never give your rabbit a bath.

Those are only used for dogs or cats or other animals that can handle water/bath.

Rabbits groom themselves ALOT so they don't need showers. There tounge does all the work. The water can cause them to go into shock or cause major issues to there skins, that's why it's important to not make your rabbit wet at any circumstance. Of course a few drops of water won't kill them, but never give them a bath or a lot of water.

In conclusion, don't even bother with that flea shampoo. Just use a flea comb to confirm if it's fleas or not. You'll see flea dirt it's not hard to find it on a rabbit unless it has dark hair, or you'll notice little bugs jumping on or around it. If you're that worried like me, just take him/her to a vet for professional help.

Well fuck, we've given him a bath like 3 times already! People at pets mart said it was fine
