Pex Ranks issue

Hello everyone.

I was wondering if there is anyone kind enough to assist me with an issue regarding pex
Its for a prison server

So the issue is the ranks (For rankup)
Goes from A-Warden (60+ranks)

Which is working fine but now that i have added a donator rank it puts the user in a donator rank which is good but removes them from the rankup procedures?

for example its

{Prestige} Username [Rank]
But it should be
{Prestige} User [Rank] {Donator rank}

But now its just

{Prestige} Username [Donator rank]

If anyone can maybe tell me what im doing wrong?

Maybe go for LuckPerms and use their parent set and parent add option, makes things easier ;P

Can recommend luck perms, you just need to convert the file which it already has setup, will take no time.

LP will convert ranks from Pex in no time.
Also if you've done configurations in some plugins for Pex just open Notepad++ and change more than one thing at the same time ^^

Like i've tried, but what i mean is it removes for example {A} perms and only leaves them with the {donator} perms

Not much I can suggest other than that, as said above you could try LuckPerms or another permissions plugin; pex is generally regarded the easiest to use (not imo) but not really the best.
I don't know much about LuckPerms but I'm sure someone could help you converting and setting it up.

LuckPerms is easy, all you have to know is how to use mysql, you'll learn the commands in no time

Did you SET the player's group? If so, you can't do that. What you should do is have your ranks inherit from the last, then ADD the next group. I.e.

A person with A rank, no donator rank will have groups: A
A person with B rank, no donator rank will have groups: A, B
A person with B rank, WITH a donator rank will have groups: A, B, YourDonatorGroup

I don't know if I understood correctly, hopefully this helps (/pex user <player> group add).

It seems i have created a new group
Called "VIP" with no inheritance so when the buycraft placed the user in said group
It wiped all the perms

/pex user {name} group add VIP

it removed his rankups etc

But now that its for example {Prestige}[Username]{rankup}[Donatorrank]
which is the following

permissions:
- essentials.reply
- essentials.message (example)
inheritance
- A

I hope thats correct?

Shouldn't alter any other groups, unless you have an extremely fiddly plugin you're working with. Np for the help
