Phone and earbud recommendations

I need to get a new phone as well as some new earbuds. I'm looking at the iPhone Xs and the Essential phone for a new phone, and the AirPods Pro for the earbuds. Any recommendations?

The AirPods pro are absolutely amazing. My friend got them and let me try them out and the noise cancelation while playing music takes the quality to an entirely new level. While walking through the halls of my high school I couldn’t hear anything even when everyone is yelling through the halls.

is that really worth shelling out 250 for

People have said that the 11 isn't worth it and that I should stick to the XS/XS Max. Should I still get an 11?

Friends @ school who have the phone. they are part of an ongoing phone plan where they can upgrade to the newest iphone. They say that upgrading from x -> 11 wasn't a huge difference.

Ahh well I guess if you already have an x it isn’t worth it yet (unless you’re super into photos) but if you’re coming from a lower model or a diff brand then I’d say getting the 11 is worth it.

normal apple earbuds (including airpods cuz the shape is the same) don't work for me. the right ear bud always falls out when I run (i need to be able to exercise freely with them)

The 11 is way better the xs camera and specs get the 11 air pod pro Apple Watch 5 and the 3 in 1 charger to charger all 3 devices

I have had my iPhone XS Max since December, and had my AirPods since February.

I would recommend the XS Max just because of the amazing camera quality, and battery life.
There has been a numerous amount of times where I have forgotten to charge my phone overnight, quickly charge it in the morning to 30% and it works for the entire day.

Recently I have just purchased the AirPods Pro, even looking like the Pea Shooter from Plants vs Zombies they do an amazing job, complete noise cancellation. I would recommend them.

However, if you don't wish to shed the $250 for AirPods Pro, the AirPods 2 or 1 are also very good. Have an incredible battery life, small and compact.
