Pictures in folder, however they aren't displayed?

Alright, so I have pictures in a folder of the subdomain of my website, however they aren't shown when I go to them and it gives a 404 error, and when I go to the folder's link nothing is there, but in reality in the ftp they are in the folder. How do I fix this?

I'm not too experienced with that stuff, but try at least giving it read permissions.

Ehh, I use shared hosting, do I need a VPS?[DOUBLEPOST=1472587794][/DOUBLEPOST]nvm I'll try uploading something with Sharex to see if it was the problem, seems like normally uploading images worked.
