Hello everyone!
So I've owned Minecraft servers in the past. I've helped major networks become big and fix some issues as they surfaced. I've owned tons of servers, but lost interest because X server was the same as mine, or vise-versa. Thus, I've decided that I want to grab my idea and go for it.
I do know that there is probably some servers doing what I want to do. However, it's different and there isn't too many great ones out there that I am aware of. So, let us begin!
The Idea
Pirates! It's a simple concept. If anyone has seen Pirates of the Caribbean or Black Sails, you'll know how amazing and wonderful pirates are. They plunder, capture ships, hold islands, and rebel against anyone that is not them. The whole idea of capturing islands, ships and killing for gold screams fun to me.
So, let us add ships to sail! You can fight against other ships, form alliances, take beaches, or destroy cities at your own will. No longer will you be forced to join a nation!
There's two major parties in this:
- England
- Pirates
The Map
The map is pretty simple. Most of it is ocean based for sailing. There will be a few scattered deserted islands for capture, a few costs with England cities, and a few random other things to capture.
Pirates will have their own main island, England will have the main city.
What's Needed
- Working ship mechanism (a way to sail them)
- A good detailed map with builds
- A way to plunder ships, a way to take islands
- ?
- ?
I'm looking to get some prices for what this would roughly cost, or if it's even possible. I don't expect to rush this, if anything I'd be more than happy to wait a few months to ensure that it's good in every way.
