players cant see my messages *strange*

hello I have a problem a certain player can't see any of my messages in chat so first I went on an alt and checked I could see it fine, he keeps saying he cant see it, so I think troll? well I asked for a screenshot and it appears he cant see my chat and he hasn't /ignored me

how do I fix this never seen this before

Unsure if this is possible, but are you not soft muted? Try getting someone else on, and testing it.

If that isn't it, tell the player, on a sign, to go into their settings (options) go onto Chat Settings and you can see something saying "Chat:" Make sure it's on the option "Chat: Shown"

When I sudo him to /ignore my ign it says he cant ignore that player
