please fix the sites scamming issues

Now, not to say mcm itself is the reason for these scams, but its ridiculous it still happens, how should I feel secure now that the site may shut up and people will not just exist scam? And scamr resolvers takes months to reply, aka giving scammers free will to scam until banned. please do fix somehow idk I'm not a dev. GL

I can't tell if you're taking the piss or not but a site can't really fix this issue..

There should be some system so that you have to have an account a certain amount of time/ have certain requirements foe certain sections, like they do for investments but forums wide

Put a requirement on account age? Scammers will make batches of accounts and wait.
Put a requirement on posts/reactions? Scammers will farm these just like normal people will farm these.
Put a requirement on rep? How are people supposed to gain rep if they can't use the marketplace sections? And what's to stop scammers from repping each other?

The thing to realize is that neither Ebay nor Amazon are scam-free. They're just such large companies that they have far more resources, and they require IRL data for accounts (something I assure you is not a good idea for a small site like this), AND they don't deal in purely digital products the way MCM does (most digital products there can be verified.

A verification system for all of MCM's products would involve MASSIVE resources). Note that those companies can also act as middlemen due to 1. reputation and reliability 2. the ability to absorb losses that are massive to an individual as if it's nothing 3. the resources to send legal teams after someone internationally if they keep fucking with them.

Even national-scale sales platforms like the Dutch Bol.com (instead of international scale) have exponentially more resources than MCM, and even they will still have scams taking place occasionally.

What would a vetting system look like exactly? How does one vet a new user coming to our community?

If a system like this were to be implemented people would just find another community that’s willing to accept them without going through a bunch of hurdles.

No maybe a preventing new users from going into more sub forums. Make them have to have x amount of posts on general dicussion before being able to post deals and such.

lel read scam reports if you get time, some people actually fall for it. Maybe just a warning stating deal with caution new user could help

Since when did making posts in the general discussion section constitute credibility? Anyone can make a certain number of posts in that section and go on to scam. Hell, the posts could be shit posts and we’d allow them in.

well no but it would show engagement into the forum and that depending on the posts can be dedicated. Its very easy to do but atleast would prevent spam and those hypixel coin kiddos
