Unplug your Router and re plug it back in, But wait 5-10 Minutes. See if that helps. Sometimes our Internet needs a restart just like our computers.
I have just switched it off, waited like 1 second and switched it back on.. haha :p does that count

Naw. It needs some time to rest. Go run some arraigns for about 5-10 Minutes then come back and re plug it. Just to be on the safe side.
Will try that now, thanks.

Sometime the button to turn the router off is dodgy and doesn't always work. I would try pulling the black cable or the cable that gives it power out of around 10 seconds to 5 mins then plug it back in. That seems to help me whenever I have crap ping.

It's best for him to un plug. Then re plug it back in from 5-10 min. It'll work with a strong signal again. Sometimes the Internet gets a bit buggy with connections after a long period of time.
That's basically what i just said, 10 seconds to 5 mins is enough for me.

Go into a teamspeak. Turn off your router, leave it off until it says connection lost. Turn it back on and you should be good, if not. What I do is join a ts, mute up keep my packets open in a new tab and i don't lag.

You could have even capped your internet usage for the month.
