Hello, please help I was using windows xp 32 bit before, minecraft is not lagging but after I upgraded it to windows 7 64 bit it's super laggy.

make sure you have 64 bit java installed

I am assuming you have upgraded your hardware as well. Machine hardware needs to be able to keep up with a newer version of an operating system.

If that is true, I'd suggest making sure you have the correct java version installed. There also may be some default settings on your computer that don't allow the game to use all of the machines capabilities. These would be things like refresh rate, how much ram you launch the game with, etc

I have the latest java version installed. "how much ram you launch the game with, etc" I don't know what's that xD
I'm using the 1.8.0 version of java on windows xp after I upgraded it to windows 7 I have the latest version installed. I also tried launching the oldest version of minecraft and its lagging even at the lowest settings.[DOUBLEPOST=1599539039][/DOUBLEPOST]
