Okay, so...
About 2-3 years ago, I met this amazing girl. Only problem is she lived far away. We dated for a good amount of time, but soon broke up because one of made a tiny mistake and we both blew it out of proportion because we were young. So we split the dating relationship at that point. To this day we are still talking as if we are dating. I plan, in about a year, to spend almost $9000 to go up to her town and stay there for about 45 days. Can i get feedback on the idea and/or ways to save up that much money?
Also, don't hesitate to ask anything!

No plans are set in stone, i just did some research and stuff to get costs of things.

What do you plan on doing after the 45 days?
If I were you, I'd plan the best (stay with her) and worst (you/she dump her/you) case scenario.
If you were to spend that much money, you'll really need to convince yourself that no matter what goes down, you won't regret it.

Doesn't sound that auspicious to me, people do that all time time, no matter how old they are.
I wouldn't let that bother you honestly.

But honestly, 45 day is... "a lot". And by that, I mean, "a lot can change/happen" -> For better? Or for worse?
If I were her, I'd rather be taken on a trip or something for a couple of days.

I realize $9000 doesn't come out of no where. I'm getting a job in august and as of now gave 2 friends taking the trip with me to split the costs.
It's $5000 on my own or $9000 evenly split between 3 ppl. So I took the 2nd one[DOUBLEPOST=1465875542][/DOUBLEPOST]

Yeah, but it was a tiny thing that the one commuting the action thought was big, and so did the other. And I can work on the time I'm up there but I'm trying to get the longest stay possible where she lives.

And if somone messes up part of making it through together if forgiving mistakes. But if it all goes to hell in that time I can either still go with my two friends or we can just save the money we have to go on a better trip at another time.

Yeah, I wouldn't spend that much money on a girl, I mean it's up to you. I guess you get a holiday out of it. Since you need to make some money, I guess you need to find out what you're good at and try sell it on this forum.
