Hey Everyone,
Many of you may be wondering what has happened to PloxHost and might think they have scammed you. I can tell you that this is not the case at all what so ever and what happened to them makes me quite angry. PloxHost was not hacked the only thing that happened was that there domain name ploxhost.com that they are no longer own was stolen. The domain was taken by a scammer that goes by the name Josh. Once he had a hold of the domain, he made a fake site about PloxHost as a sick joke to trick people into making them think PloxHost has inadequate services. This is just so upsetting in so many ways and is more than wrong to do to a host. On a good note currently, PloxHost is fighting for their domain back and have used legal actions against this person they have also changed to another domain called plox-hosting.com and also their original domain plox.host still works as well.
To ensure nothing like this happens again Ploxhost had decided to redo all their system to make sure that no one had hacked them. Sadly this meant not being able to upload the old database as the data became encrypted from the past owner who did not have it setup proper this is what made all files disappear. It was not due to the fact PloxHost wanted to scam you or they wanted to keep your files and rip your off it was for your good and to ensure safety and quality. To make up for what had happen, they had offered free development services from their sponsors to all their clients that did not have backups for their servers and also issued one-month free while doubling their RAM. I have to say that above in beyond what most hosting providers would do as its always important to keep a back of your files.
For the reason why PloxHost is banned on McMarket is quite unfair and gets me angry as well. During the time PloxHost domain had been stolen someone had opened a scammed report against an old owner of a host that PloxHost does not own but people were accusing PloxHost of running it, and I guess that is due to the fact the prices of that host were so low similar to PloxHost prices. The old owner of the host had said he no longer owned the host and while PloxHost was too busy dealing with their domain issue and had not check McMarket on time and that person had pointed fingers in saying that PloxHost owns the host and the no longer own it. What they don't know is that PloxHost has nothing that so ever to do with that host. PloxHost was originally planning to buy the host from the original owner, but the deal never went through with them as they did not want it. That could have been why the owner pointed fingers at PloxHost due to the fact the original owner had never explained their self fully on who had ownership of the host he also had mentioned PloxHost in one of his post, but they were not the owners. That host was sold to a company that is entirely separate from PloxHost and has another CEO not the same as PloxHost. They had opened a ban appeal and tried to explain this, but it seems no one is listening. I mean come on McMarket why are you keeping an account banned that had nothing to do with the scam and are unable to refund payments from that host cause they don't own it. Like that's unfair and I'm pretty sure if PloxHost had control over that host they would do something about the issue.
On the right note PloxHost, had indeed improved from the way they use to be and now offer backups every month of data. They also have a 99.9 uptime the new system truly shows improvements, and they are currently working PloxHost 2.0. I hope all this can clear away from PloxHost and they got back to normal and known for being the best host around McMarket like they always were. I also hope their account gets unbanned and everyone has a better understanding of what has happened to PloxHost none of this should of happen from the start, and it upsets me that people do this to a host.
If you have any questions feel free to ask and I will get back to you.
