If you have no experience in coding at all i'd recommend you to start learning Java first. www.codecademy.com will cover the basics 
You cant just 'learn' java by paying someone like this, there are whole programming courses to do this. you cant start on java you need to work up towards java or it will be like opening a book to halfway and trying to understand what is going on. its not gonna happen. you need to learn the basic/starter languages first. java alone has java, javascript and javaio(java API)
I don't entirely agree with you, It's not impossible to have Java as your first programming. Yes it can be complicated but I think that's something you'd have to face with every language. You can't just start developing plugins without experience. That's why I said He'd have to learn Java first.
I agree with your post, i was talking to the OP. Codeacademy is great, i used it back when i was doing web design to see what if it had anything it could teach me that my current course didnt
