AuraSide, Inc. is looking for an Experienced Java Developer (hopefully in the practice/HCF scene, bonus if you've worked on any minigame servers) that is able to dedicate 20+ hours a week with 4-5 other developers, in creating a competitive 1.8 based server. We are a company that has made multiple successful products related to gaming and esports (https://auraside.com/).
The Java Developer we are looking for will be working on our Minecraft server which we have called "MPL" (Minecraft PvP League), it will first launch as a high-quality practice server and then we will add unique and exciting competitive game modes right after. We hope that the candidate is a self-motivated leader and a good communicator. We prefer candidates over 18 but will consider everyone.
The main skills we're looking for:
- Java (2-3+ Years Java Experience)
- Spigot/Bukkit (broad understanding of both)
- Good English and Communication Skills
- Mature and Responsible
- Problem Solver
- Git
Bonus skills:
- Minecraft mod/clientside development
- Kotlin
- Minecraft Anticheat Knowledge/Experience with coding hacked clients
We are a very relaxed team, and outside of standups, we don't expect anything else other than daily communication, and the ability to communicate over future tasks/new ideas. The majority of our communication will be done via discord but we can host calls to discuss things if needed.
