Hello MC-Market.
A while ago I purchased a plugin from a user on this site through the Resource section. I had talked with this developer before making the purchase and got them to lower the price by $2 (Original price was $10) before I bought it due to the lack of a demo video, test server or config I could see. After I bought it I expected it to work just fine and the deal would be done but no.
The plugin when loaded up was in shambles and barely functions, not even able to work how it is intended to. Many aspects were broken and it was a complete mess. I went into the developers Discord to ask for support, wonderfully seeing that the last message in it was in February (This started in May). After some long and slow back in forth with the developer some times taking days to reply and then eventually silence for around 9 days, another user joins in the discussion. They bought the same plugin as me and were having issues. At this point the developer seemed completely incompetent of developing a working plugin as it was on the verge of being completely broken.
After these days of silence, the developer comes back and says that "That other developer no longer responds" which was surprising and not at the same time. This means he was commissioning someone to fix his own mistakes... why? They then say "I mean what's not working inside of it" and me along with the other guy that joined both say they we told him before. Around 5 days later (Almost end of May) the developer states that there is a recoded version of the plugin but we can't have it because "there's only ONE problem from me releasing it and it's with the timer and I have 0 clue what's wrong with it.". I then say I will happily tested it and he responds "cant rn".
A day later the other user offers to help with development of the recode to resolve this whole situation which the developer responds with "When I'm home and not busy". The next day I ask the user if he ever got information from the developer and the developer responds like we did something to him that was horrible. "I'm not going to drop all my irl stuff for this, I already said how I wanted someone else to work on this with me or buy the source for their own use" The developer had been selling the SRC to the plugin for 3 times the price it normally costs, $30, and it wasn't even working which is fucking scummy. Also, what use is source code to a broken ass plugin?
Going back to the other user offering to help the developer, the developer wanted the user to make a "small plugin so I know if you could actually help and not just want the code". WHAT? This isn't a fucking test, he is offering to help you fix your god damn plugin.. Shiesh. Ever since then there have been no messages in the Discord... this was around 2 weeks ago.
Could someone help me figure out what I should do?
TL;DR:
If you want more information I can PM you the plugin author and link if need be.

TL;DR:
- Incompetent developer
- He releases a plugin that's broken, beats around the bush and doesn't fix things
- He gets angry when you tell him its broken and to fix it because he is busy in irl life
- Has been going on since May
If you want more information I can PM you the plugin author and link if need be.
