PM advertisers, thoughts?

I honestly hate this, I am Admin on a resource chat with 800 people and we get this a lot, People will advertise their services by PMing all of the members the same copy and paste, or they will recruit designers by PMing all the designers the same thing, its super annoying and whenever I catch people doing it I ban them, I want opinions on this, is it okay or not? please post your thoughts down below...

It depends, it's VERY annoying to lots of people, including me. Sometimes it's alright but if the server especially doesn't allow advertisement but people PM advertise, that's when I just straight off ban them.

Otherwise, usually I'd give a warning depending on the advertisement unless lots of people report it due to it getting annoying.
In all honesty, if it's getting out of hand in that server, continue banning them then.
