I've almost finished working on my brand new app, PocketPanel.
PocketPanel is a fully native implementation of the MultiCraft control panel on Android, allowing you to manage all of your servers on the fly without the need for a web browser.

I'm going to be releasing it on the same day as MultiCraft 2.0, which should be within the next month or so. I've spoken to the people behind MultiCraft to ensure that the API is ready when this comes out.

Without further ado, here's what it looks like:

Any feedback would be appreciated, as well as general compliments, as I'd love to hear what you all think!

PebbleHost
High performance, consistent uptime and fast support. Minecraft hosting that just works.

I just bought myself a phone and I was appalled to see there isn't already an app like this. Since I run a few servers, this was a necessity. I will be downloading/buying this app the second it comes out.

The interface looks really nice and clean.
Some suggestions: Built in ftp, widgets to show server info on home screen, map viewer (Basically dynmap)

I will add any other suggestion to this post when I think of them. Any chance I can be a beta tester? ;)

Why do people hate ios?
I really don't know. I find iOS to be perfectly fine, in fact Android is the worse OS, for those who think otherwise. Android's app store has tonnes of apps that are even on the top 100s that are ratted. Most of these have been taken down now, but the RATs are still in the peoples devices, completely shutting certain users out of their phones.

Why do people hate ios?
IT people hate it because it's so restrictive. It's great for kids and anyone else who just wants a nice phone, but for anyone wanting to do advanced stuff, it's horrible. Additionally developers hate it because its a pain in the ass to develop for. First you have to develop on a mac, which most developers don't have and don't want to buy. Second, it costs $100 /year. Thirdly, Apple takes ages to approve your app. Google Play is a one time fee of $25 and takes about 24 hours to approve an app.

I just realized how similar the android vs ios argument is to pc vs console. iOS/Console is restrictive, but nice and easy for someone who just wants to do what everyone else can do. Android/Pc is for people who want something that gives them more control and freedom.

So, that's why I hate iOS. If you just want a phone that works, use iOS, I don't care.

The virus argument is valid. I'm not a hundred percent sure that your statistics are correct, but I have heard similar things. Apple extensively scans apps to make sure their safe (Heh, yet just recently a shit ton of apps got removed, including popular ones, because the program people used to make them injected a virus), although this is great for the end-user, it's a complete pain in the ass for the developer as it can take months to have your app approved if your an unknown, indie developer. Android, on the other hand, leaves safety in your hands. Every android user should have anti virus installed and be careful of what they download.

Also this debate is over now, we don't need a moderator warning of us of a flame war. If you want to make a counter argument please put it in pm.

Assossa I wanted to say thanks for the above posts. Summed up almost my entire reasoning for the decision not to include iOS support (yet!).
