Hey everyone,
I'm making a resource users from MCM will be able to buy for £5 (GBP).
But I need some suggestions.

The idea is to create portal page with as many customizable options as possible, whilst still making it as easy for the user to be able to use.

Here is what I have so far: http://guruwebsites.org.uk/extra/dev/EZ-Portal/admin
Feel free to try it out and change some options.
Username: Potato
Password: Temp1

It's only the admin panel at the moment, but I'm still open to suggestions on things to add, how it looks and just about everything else. If anyone is interested I may give a few free copies out, in return for rep when it's finished.

Thank you for your time,
Jon

High performance, consistent uptime and fast support. Minecraft hosting that just works.

(Not sure if this design incorporates it), but what about a database linked portal page? Where every "item" has a image and title of course. And the website would load them from the database?
But maybe set a max of 6?
Also applying the same hovering animations over all the icons. Other than that, this looks like a awesome start to a customisable portal page / mini CMS.
A personal project im currently working on is a in-house CMS template (it's alot more confusing than it sounds, or maybe I'm just overcomplicating it), something that my clients recieve in conjunction with the website for ease of use, also makes the project/product that little more special as every CMS would be suited to that customer with their logos and other branding in place. Would make a nice addition as a feature for website packages as it makes the project just a tad bit more personal haha.

Also another suggestion, I'm not sure if there is a API out there, but for the colour scheme, maybe let the admin enter a base hex color value, then the page would suggest potential colours for the other slots? There must be a package out there or maybe one can be developed. I'll add more suggestions if i think of any :)
