Possible New Upgrade?

What is my suggestion? -

Basically, my suggestion is to create an entirely new upgrade that will be an affordable option for those who do not want to invest $10 on MC-M just yet.

How would this improve MC-M? -

This could improve MC-M in pretty much every way possible. Let's say this gets implemented, okay? I bet there are a lot, and I mean a lot of Members who are thinking of buying an upgrade, but haven't done so, as the price is a bit high. If there was an upgrade, of, let's say $5, more and more Members would invest money into MC-M, meaning MC-M would start earning more money to pay for the bills and such.

What should the Upgrade offer? -

That's a tough one. I believe it should offer about half of what Premium does, but yet again let Premium still worth the money to upgrade. I am going to leave it to the staff team to decide, as it isn't my job to do so anyways.

I really, really hope you have understood what I am trying to say. Please, do let me know what you think of my suggestion down in the post section.

Not for everyone. Besides, if Premium is worth $10 and the possible new upgrade offers half of what Premium does, doesn't that go for $5?

Similar to the microtransactions suggestions.
This could also work in the way that people who were considering and would have otherwise spent $10 on premium settle for the $5 upgrade instead, thus cutting potential profits in half for each person.
Also, those who spent the $10 on features may be upset that they could have gotten the feature(s) they wanted for just $5 instead.

You can't say whether or not there are twice as many people who are willing to spend $5 but not $10 on less features than there are people who would have otherwise spent $10, but with the addition of this rank, instead spent $5; thus increasing profits instead of reducing them.
However, I do believe that what we currently have set up is just fine.
There shouldn't be more than two purchasable ranks, this isn't a minecraft server or one of our lowly competitors, where people can have a wall of tags with random names. We have premium and supreme; and they're quite affordable considering how much money MC-Market can potentially bring you in, if you're doing business here properly.

$10 isn't really a lot, a new rank for $5, could mean people will buy that instead of premium.

The main reasons people buy premium, is to be able to sell MC accounts, put a price on resources and use the shoutbox. Without any of those the upgrade would be next to useless.

The ability to sell accounts needs a higher price tag to prevent scamming. Similar with resources, don't want spam there. As for the shoutbox we want to keep the riffraff out, if there is too many able to chat there, it would be hard to keep track of what's going on.

If people want something for $5, they can get a name colour.

This has been suggested multiple times in multiple forms
Here's my view on it. This site is a marketplace. That means your primary reason for being here is either to buy or to sell something.
If you're buying but cant afford a premium upgrade, you don't have the budget to spend a lot of time buying things here anyway. Its more like a one-time thing.
If you're selling and cant afford it, your business isn't going particularly well, and you may need to change your strategy or reconsider being a seller.

It's just $10. If that's too much for you, you probably don't have a lot to do on this site.

If this were to be implemented, I think the following perks would be appropriate for it.
- Add price to Resources
- Use Chat
- Profile cover photo
- Be able to see gamer profiles of members (Steam, LoL, PSN, Xbox Live, etc)

They're like not the most desirable perks, but still fair for $5.
The rest of the premium perks would still be worth the extra $5 (ad free, dark theme, blue name, ability to change name, custom title, etc)

I dont think I would like a lot more people in the chat.
The chat is already filled with adverts (well at least some), and I wouldn't like more.

I don't think that this would be worth it. MC-Market has kept a two-rank system for well over a year now and I don't think that changing it now to implement a lower rank would really change that much. Not only would this undoubtedly limit any potential profit from MC-Market, but it also is simply not needed in my opinion. $10 isn't a whole lot in the general scheme of things on MC-Market where you could potentially make thousands of dollars from the services you offer. Denied.
