When you click "Report" button, could we have an quick menu of buttons to choose from that indicate what kind of post is it that we're reporting and thus indicate the violation associated with it?

Something like

"Malicious Advertisement" (this would be used for like that user who posted gay porn everywhere)
"Discord Reward Invites"
"Trashing w/o Evidence"
"Post Farm"
"Duplicate Thread"

Of course you can leave the option of a text field with additional comments/specified details. I just feel that a menu of premade common violation options to pick from will be easier for me as a user of this forum and a moderator wanting to filter out reports in their own panel.

E.g. Lets say I report a thread with "Discord Reward Invite". A moderator in their panel should be able to search for "Discord Reward Invite" and find all reports associated to it.

High performance, consistent uptime and fast support. Minecraft hosting that just works.

I can get behind a scrollable multi list of all of our rules, above the details text box.
I doubt it'll be used much, but it might be.

However, the details box still needs to be there.
The report button is not used exclusively for rule violations either, so we can't make it mandatory.

I think this would be a bit much, as it gives members too many options to pick and choose what they want to report a post for. A more concise list of max 10 rule violations would do Justis (take out the R)

Our rules cannot be condensed into a mere 10, if they could, we'd condense them so more people would read the rules page. I can't see 10 rule options serving any worthwhile benefit to the speed at which reports are dealt with.

I don't often really see a post that violates more than 1 MCM rule unless its made by a user who is obviously going to get a lot of warning points soon for it.

The point of this suggestion is to implement a fast/easy way for us mcm users to select a quick "This post is a spam post" or a "This post is a discord invite post", that way when a moderator searches for these filtered reports they can find reports that are most easiest to deal with or reports that are most troublesome, etc.

There's no point in adding a filter to skip over some reports. All reports must be handled. Reports are dealt with in order of submission. Not whichever ones are easiest.

And this is where I stop trying to turn my original suggestion into a bigger one regarding the way staff handle reports here.

I don't see the benefit in implementing this, it won't save any time for people reporting content and will just be custom development time we could use elsewhere. Typing one or two words explaining which rule is broken will suffice for reports and our moderators will be able to warn the user no problemo.

Denied, thanks for the suggestion.
