Prepaid MasterCard Issues

So today I got a prepaid MasterCard gift card as a late Hanukkah gift and I wanted to buy some csgo skins with it but on every site I find, it declines my payment. I registered the card and it won't work on PayPal either. Also I don't want to just use it for steam credit bc the market is more expensive. I would appreciate any help.

No, they act as a credit card. It should work anywhere.

For some prepaid cards you have to activate it on a website. Try looking for a sticker on either the card or the little cardboard thing that the card is (was) stuck to.

For future reference just buy the vanilla visa cards they work 99% of the time I've had them.

Either:
go to PayPal and try re-linking your card to PayPal and when you're purchasing select "pay with pay pal" not "pay with debit or credit card"

Sometimes cards require a 24-hour activation timer, Meaning you have to wait 24 hours after purchasing the card to be able to use it.

You can also call the customer support line (Usually found on receipt or website of the card)

Last option go to store with receit and card and have them they did not activate it right the first time and they need to do it again.

Yeah usually I get visa but this was a gift so I had no control over it lol. I registered it today so hopefully the 24 hour cool down is correct and I'll access the funds tmrw
