I haven't seen a thread address this topic before (I may be wrong), so I will become the first.
Please, when you loan someone give them a "neutral" reputation for the loan and put some basic information about the loan the repayment dates etc.
Giving a person a neutral reputation helps prevent exit scams (people can tell that "person A" has been loaned before so you can be cautious when said person asks you for a loan knowing that he already has a loan to repay under his belt). It also helps prevent confusion when loaning a person.
You can also write something about the loan on a person's profile to tell others of the ongoing loan between you and person A along with having a neutral reputation.
Thank you and safe loaning!

"Loaned user $x usd for a return on x/xx/xx. Reputation will be change accordingly to whether loan was successful or not | User has taken a loan"
