Hey everyone!

Right now I'm currently working on a Prison Server and was wondering if anyone had any cool features they wanted to see in a Prison Server? Just looking for ideas on what people were looking for

Don't draw inspiration from other servers. Instead, seek inspiration from elsewhere.

Why should players choose your server over larger ones with the same features and more players? What sets you apart? Copying other people puts you in direct competition against the big dogs with big marketing budgets and large player bases.

A good approach to achieve this is to identify successful trends in other platforms, such as Minecraft, that best fit your gameplay. Then, take these ideas and find ways to incorporate them into your server.

If you find a game from elsewhere, and the player demographic is similar to your target audience, you can safely assume it might succeed in Minecraft.

Lets say that you can make a real prison server with a real purpose, be free.
Not only mining, but making different tasks to level up, chopping trees, fishing, killing mobs etc, mix some mechanics of the skyblock to the prison and give your players more privileges the more that they work. A real prison style plots where players can escape and fight other cell mates, put random npc to spawn around the world with police skins and killing people out of the cell (plot) open the mines or work production areas at certain times and close it after. Etc.

Consider adding unique features such as themed mines, custom enchantments, and black market trading. Incorporate quests, daily challenges, and gang wars to promote teamwork. Offer prestige rewards, custom tools, and contraband mechanics for added variety. Introduce diversions like a casino or parkour challenges to enhance gameplay. Improve immersion with dynamic weather and tiered prison areas. I was studying economics and needed assistance with essay writing. I discussed my struggle with my brother, and he recommended an online platform called Academized. After checking online reviews, which were mostly positive, I decided to try https://academized.com/ because it seemed beneficial. Academized is an excellent service for students who need extra help. I am currently using it to complete all my academic assignments.
You are right, Thank you for information.

One idea I’ve always loved seeing in prison servers is a solid progression system that goes beyond just mining and selling. For example, maybe have unique skill trees or upgrades players can earn by hitting certain milestones—things like efficiency boosts, custom enchant access, or even special “job” perks for players who choose certain paths (like guard, smuggler, or merchant roles).
In short, anything that goes beyond the standard “mine, sell, repeat” loop will help your server stand out. Players appreciate depth and reasons to stay invested, so a mix of progression, story, and special events can go a long way!
