Hey Guys,

Personally, I think there should be a notification sound when you receive a private message. You can also have an off and on button to mute the sound

Would be pretty cool.

i don't think it is a good idea since they already added the RED alert on the tab, and it could be annoying if forgotten to put it off

Good idea. As long as they have the ability to toggle off it sounds great.

I just recently found that you can enable a sound for when you get a whisper or get mentioned in the ShoutBox. (Maybe I disabled it a lot time ago?)
But I do think this would be useful.

I was talking about the Conversations and alerts.

I believe that this will be a good idea to implement, but the toggle for the sounds should be easily accessed, because staff on the forums will get more sounds than regular users.

This just sounds like a change for us to make for the sake of changing it. I genuinely see no reason why it makes sense to play a sound when you receive a PM and even if we did add the functionality to disable it, it's still a waste of developer time that could be spent on real improvements to the site.

Denied, thanks for the suggestion.
