Hey guys,
So ever since I got back on my pc I've been having this problem where I literally can't join Minecraft servers. My internet is completely fine as I can join multiplayer sessions in other games such as csgo etc. Sometimes the servers load in the server list, but even though it loaded telling me that I have 21ms etc, it doesn't let me join. Sometimes after taking like 30 tries, it lets me eventually join but it is very annoying. After a while of connecting, it usually says io.netty.channel.connectTimeoutException: connection timed out: but sometimes the message can vary. I am wondering if anyone else has experienced this, or has a fix to it. I have tried reinstalling minecraft, deleting .minecraft, updating java windows etc, disabling my firewall, and going through a search of my computer through malware bytes. Please reply to the thread if you have a solution.

2 two last things, another common message is java.net.SocketException: Network is unreachably, and this is more common for me around the 1.8 and 1.7 versions of minecraft as I don't have as many problems logging in with 1.12.2 or above.

Have you tried using a client or is this with the vanilla launcher? If the problem occurs in the vanilla launcher, are you using mods?

Sounds like you have a closed NAT type. These fixed it for me but all routers and countries act differently. Also for me I couldn’t host csgo lobbies where my friends joined, I’d have to join them and then queue for whatever mode.
