No I am definitely correct, the name of the class I take is 'English Language' therefore it is similar to saying "I study math". So that part makes complete grammatical sense. However the know how part is just me making a small mistake and essentially repeating myself.

If I'm paying him to write "persuasive and professional looking text", I should not recieve a paragraph riddled with grammatical errors.

I would not say one mistake is making everything I write 'riddled' with grammatical mistakes.
