did not know that.
Hey, I'd agree that TheNewBoston is not the best place to learn good programming practices, even if they are good at teaching the language. It really would be better to try a book. If not, interactive sites like Codecademy offer Java tutorials, although only the basics - which is what you need first. You must fully understand things like variables, basic operators, syntax, formatting, conditionals, loops, etc. before trying to grasp the concepts of Classes and Objects. Knowing these concepts will enable you to learn additional languages much easier. Taking it slow and making sure you understand everything will only strengthen your skills in the long run. It wouldn't hurt to learn about the JDK, JRE, memory, and the basics of how a high level language communicates with the machine's hardware, so you are fully aware of what happens when you execute a program. Feel free to PM me if you have questions while learning. Good luck!
Thanks so much for your guys' input. I may PM you two later tomorrow for more info. Since today is almost over & I wanna take it easy for the rest of the dayI could maybe help you out. Sounds like you're on a very similar course to me with the only difference being that I'm on my second year.
It was only a joke, chill. I just hate seeing when people use other peoples opinions as an excuse for making themselves look good. Although the advice was fine, but again I am not the person who reads a lot of books. But who knows, that might change hahahe doesn't, he's trying to give you useful advice, and you should probably accept it.
