Honestly, I disagree.
Activity is not the main requirement of getting a promotion.
With all of my respect to alien, I haven't seen the man doing a lot unlike staff members like Lotus and Luxus, I may be wrong but that's just my POV for the last.. 2 weeks? yeah, highly doubt he would get promoted in 2 weeks.

I appreciate the kind words, although I must say that it's way too early for me to even get considered for a promotion.
If it's anyone who deserves a promotion, it's Kram; he alone was able clear the scam report backlog which had accumulated to almost 5 months of reports to what it is today and get rid of so many scammers in the process. Anyways, at the end of the day, it's Mick who decides who gets promoted/demoted, not the community. Although input is greatly appreciated. :tup:

Why’s that?
Most of the staff are extremely active except for those who're living onto some vacations and gave a before notice for that. I don't see any staff members who are inactive (Except for uta who's currently on a vacation or smth) and everyone are doing their job perfectly fine, although I can't really see it from sushi currently.
Aliensushi is my favorite alien for sure. But here's the thing, the community saying "promote that staff member" "demote that staff member" doesn't really help. If someone should be demoted, report them via support request why with proof as well, if someone should be promoted, Mick and the team will generally realize that they should be promoted. However, at least for me, just saying a simple thank you and telling the staff member you appreciate the work they do goes a long way instead of making threads like this.
I wonder what will happen then. Reputation, let's just let that run havoc. Ban evaders, there will be even more. Every staff member works hard to make sure that the site is getting moderated and without everyone, it would be horrible.
See, it's easier for someone to say mods don't do anything because mods are normally dealing with reports, more support requests, name requests, etc. It's not really fair to any staff member to call them inactive when you don't know how much they work.
Messaging mods isn't always effective. We all get lots of PMs and it gets harder and harder to deal with all of them via PMs. Support requests in the queue is the best way to handle them.
I have never said I fixed "the backlog" I was able to go through all pending scam reports dating back a few months. What this means is at the very least, scam reports are dealt with in a more timely manner. Chat moderators are not useless. They are able to handle support requests, they look for threads breaking serious rules and are able to find ban evaders. This conception that chat mods are useless is completely wrong and without them, the backlog in every aspect would just be worse.

It was my understanding that you thought I cleared all the backlog. So my apologies if I misunderstood your post. My work was mainly on scam reports.
People argue that staff work is so easy, anyone can do it, staff are useless. Here's the thing, we do the work but in return for doing what they do, we get people like you saying that we are useless, inactive, etc.
We put our own time into moderating the forum and do what we can to make certain aspects of the site better. So in my eyes, no staff member is useless. Just because others can do it, doesn't mean that they do. Many users are unable to follow the rules, let alone moderate to make sure others follow them.
