This document will contain “ DoctorGeek’s “ official trick to a playerbase, and getting your product known. This idea goes for many things such as “ Slots “, “ Google Promotion “, as well as your IRL product.
My main experience is with “ Slots “. Slots are a gambling game in some situations, you will need a good server to sustain a playerbase that you feel comfortable with. A Good Server has many definitions, to me the server will need Quality builds, custom plugins, and a quality website that will attract users that have not yet joined the server.
A slot usually cost around 3,000USD to actually place a initial BID, to some this may be high, but there is an alternative solution. Rental Slots are slots that you can rent per the hour, such as if you just want to get your server known to the community, you can purchase 2 or 3 hours from a slot owner. Usually Rental Slots cost 65$ per hour, however if used right, they can increase your popularity very well.
They’re times when a slot is not usually as good as other times. Peak times are slot times that have a better effect on the community. When people around the world play minecraft, they consist of different time zones, slots are most effective when the worlds timezones are the closest, this will be the best times to receive the slot, as more people will find your products name.
Some people do not think this is a good idea, but it is called the Google Promotion Secret. The idea of this revolves around your “ Website “. You will need a Quality website portal containing your servers IP Adress and what the server consist of along with pictures and a good background. The google promotion is when people Google something, it will pop up as a suggestion for the user, and display it at the tippity top of the list of sites. This is simply purchasing ADS basically, but not mainly people do this trick, so it is very effective for a more professional community.
Effective Slot times:
This is out of all of my experiences purchasing slots, and being with someone who has purchased a slot, so I take full responsibility with this statement. All effective times for weekdays are 3:15 to 7:00PM this is also like any other weekday slot, the server has to be a good server with quality plugins, builds, and a good community for some of these to stay. Weekends it is harder to get a slot time, and it will cost a little more than you are comfortable with. Weekend slots give people the most players, and it contains several better times. I have found these times to be the most efficient, 8:00 to 10:00AM, 11:30AM to 1PM, and 4:00 to 7PM. These again, are from my experiences and require a good server to keep most of the players.
