Hi there. This is different than the other threads out there. Please read the whole suggestion.

We need some sort of contact information for staff. I’ve gelped multiple people get unbanned, how? I’ve messaged staff on discord to help me get them unbanned.
Some users aren’t able to create an appeal account, MC-Market needs a contact form that’s not on mcmarket. Either a twitter account, Gmail, something. We need a contact to message instead of doing it through finding staff members skype/discord.

I’m not saying through social media. I mean they create a special appeal Gmail or something similar.

High performance, consistent uptime and fast support. Minecraft hosting that just works.

Semi Agreed. But there needs to be a limit on who can "appeal" and staff aren't obligated to give our their social media. lets take Justis for example he can refuse to give out his discord as people will start spamming him with appeals. But appeals like "Violation of tos (in context) and "false bans"" should be able to be appealed through an online "Guest" section. So they don't need to register accounts as an IP check would be sufficient. Contacting MC-M staff on their personal social platforms is a waste of time as only two of those ever replied/helped with actual decency. Instead rewrite the appeal section as a "fill in forum" like the scam reports with reasons proof etc. and if it has been denied you can't appeal again etc. It's just dumb appealing a ban over "discord" as people can impersonate and all those kind of wack stuff.

In ending. Staff members should not be obligated to read nor receive appeals on any other plat forum that is not this WEBSITE. As alot of things can be taken out of context and not be proven since discord has all these "flaws" like message editing and all those features to manipulate any forum of truth

the website has a "support" section for a reason.
If you are banned. You can not view the support system. I’m saying banned members need to have a way to contact staff if it’s a false ban.

the rules are clear and it has been mentioned countless times.

Make an appeal account. And for your argument on "banned users can't make an appeal account" if they don't want to make it its not worth for them to get unbanned? I'm pretty sure if they do like "KyleW_appeal" it won't get banned until the support ticket has been handled

I’d like to make a form built in to the site to appeal and it has been planned for many months, it’s just not a priority.

Creating a way to get support off site will end up being more difficult as you’ll need to confirm the users identity each time they appeal. In order to build a form into the site for banned members it’s harder than making a custom addon too I believe because of the way banning works with xenForo but I’m not 100% sure.

I’ve had friends who can’t do that. It doesn’t work, even with clearing cache. In the end I contacted Justis on discord and he helped us out. As you can see, then he made an appeal account and appealed. He got unbanned. FuriousFruit[DOUBLEPOST=1519171012][/DOUBLEPOST]

You could post a picture of the ban message. Would that be enough?

If in fact, banned users can make appeals on site, that’s fine. I’m just saying if that’s not a thing, I’d be nice to have a official person to contact. Instead of finding staffs social media’s.

I have also mentioned above a fix for that a "fill in forum" but you need to limit banned users as it's not fair to even have them be able to communicate on the forum (Such as reading other posts etc) as it will give them a way to contact those users and make more trouble. Which is why users makes new accounts then they just restrict it until the appeal has been accepted or denied.[DOUBLEPOST=1519171138][/DOUBLEPOST]

You also need to take other users safety in consideration. Although you mean good and your friend was the 1/1000 that was false banned. Rather kill a thousand and save a million. Than kill a million to only save a thousand. (You see my argument?)

If in fact, banned members will be able, and only able, to appeal. That would be amazing. If that’s not possible, there needs to be an alternative.

there is a way banned members appeal. You just don't want to accept it.

I don’t think you understand. I know the official way of making a temp account. It does not always work.[DOUBLEPOST=1519175669][/DOUBLEPOST]

Unfortunately it is not possible to allow banned members to access the support requests section at the moment. It would be good to have some sort of appeal system developed in the system so that you don't need to create an alt account, but for the moment that is only in the planning stages.

Denied, thanks for the suggestion.
