You should be using a server with dedicated resources for Multicraft in order to get the best results.
Unless your VPS has good specs required for running Multicraft, I don't think it's worth it.
You'll be better off getting a server from a host that sells Minecraft servers for the best performance.

Might be a good environment for testing, though.
