I wonder where the stealing other people's art came from *Cough* Lost Creations *Cough*
It involves almost every custom creation service on not just this site, but any creative platform.
Clients seem to fail to realize that the people they're hiring had to fight and struggle for their skill. That's why you're hiring them instead of doing it yourself.
I personally haven't had the problem a lot, but several of my fellow terraformers seem to come across clients who think it's a good negotiating tactic to disparage and belittle the skill it takes to create custom terrain ("Anyone could do it easily, $15 for an hour's work is way too much!" then why aren't you doing it yourself?)
I feel like any freelancer will encounter people like these. My best advice is to remain professional with them, and ignore the ever living shit out of them once you tell them they can't hire you for less than your listed price.[DOUBLEPOST=1486771171][/DOUBLEPOST]
Just saying, saying "this is a {insert product} we could make, or something like it" when you haven't actually made it is extremely foolish. I've seen builders, developers and designers do it, and it never works out well. If you can make stuff like that, just make something like it once, then sell that non-exclusively to make back profit on the time spent. It will look way better in your portfolio.

A good example of how it COULD be is, in my opinion, how the terraformers on McM tend to work. Most of us (not all, but most) know each other, we have a union chat, and we even look out to get each other commissions if we're occupied ourselves. If we do end up competing for the same commission, it rarely ever gets even slightly heated.

This post sums up what most designers face not just Graphics but good job with making this public, people need to start respecting the effort of others instead of calling it a scam when it's not finished in one day.
Customers should also state a brief idea of what they want, and whether or not they are happy with the final product. Designers cannot read the customers mind, they cannot tell whether or not the customer likes it. However they then feel it's acceptable to ask for a refund because they didn't like what they get, even though they may not have have made it clear with the designer that they didn't like that way it looked.
