Public scam reports

Okay so heres the back story, user by the name of @NicoNicoNii made a loan request on the day a scam report has been opened againts him Nor did I know this and proceeded to give him the loan, now this has happened with a few people, scam reports need to be seen or have an option when dealing with a user it adds a flag to them mentioning there is a pending scam report againts the user. This will slow down Exit scammers from scamming more innocent people like me for example.

So when dealing with the user it will have an (i) near his name that notify you there is a pending scam report etc.

Maybe do this?
View attachment 101646or replace profile picture with something as a warning. and if you click on the PENDING SCAM REPORT it would take you to the scam report.

What should occur if a player has more than one report one them?

Thats why it says pending. And links them to the report.

I would agree, however, do consider 2 or more scam reports open on them is quite a significant red flag.

But yeah, it honestly wouldn't be significantly difficult to add either. Put it on my test site within a couple minutes. Granted, I was only editing one profile and had zero variables.

And what if the poor guy that "you" are calling a scammer, it's not? And he is innocent of that scam report?
What if someone opens a scam report just to tag the "competition" with a huge red letters saying "SCAMMER"?

What if that happens to any of "you", how would you feel having that thing on your profile? How do you think that it will affect your busyness?
Have you thought about that happening to someone?

The idea is good in general but imo this should be more "discrete". And no i'm not saying hidden but rather like an additional info on the users profile. Same as the Warnings. It could be easy placed there. No need for the big red letters or text that screams "A Scammer!", but just an informational node that the user has a "Pending Scam Report".

When i do busyness with someone i always check his profile and go over the reputation to see, what is he like/about. Don't you?

Don't you have to resolve the report before you can disclose it as a "legit" or "not legit"?

And it will never be "SCAMMER" that's completely illogical. It would only be something that simply alerts any unsuspecting user that the player has a report open on them.

But that is also irrelevant.
I'm not saying no to the suggestion, i only say that it would not be good idea to be displayed next to your avatar.

It is not. You need both sides to disclose a "case".

It would be relevant. The whole point of this alert thing is to alert people that there is a scam report open on them. The alert wouldn't be designed to prove someone guilty before the scam report was actually resolved.

But why on the avatar? Why not on the profile it self? Like the warnings.

To put it simply, no.

If someone is simply going to judge based upon the image of their profile, shame upon them. I am reasonably certain most every semi known MCM Member knows well enough to check someone's profile. If they have such a flag near their avatar or anywhere on their profile for that matter I would seriously hope whoever is dealing with them checks it for themselves before jumping to conclusions.

Also, correct me if I am wrong, but I really don't see a problem in marking a profile like this:

It simply states "Hey you there, person scrolling past this post! I would simply like to warn you this guy has a couple scam reports out there, you may wanna look into that before working with him/her!"

Yes it is a problem.
Something that "catches the person's eye" also catches his mind. And this report can be false and the user that has that red swastika on his avatar may suffer big time, depending on the sales that he does and the forums that he is in.

You apparently didn't read my post whatsoever, you only jumped to what you could argue.

I am reasonably certain most every semi known MCM Member knows well enough to check someone's profile. If they have such a flag near their avatar or anywhere on their profile for that matter I would seriously hope whoever is dealing with them checks it for themselves before jumping to conclusions.

Something such as this:

fits rather well and honestly isn't going to damage their sales unless the person looking at their profile is both too lazy and too immature to simply read the scam report themselves... I read scam reports for fun, I literally go in and read them every night. If someone cannot be bothered to read one simple scam report, how are they even planning on doing business with the guy? Reading an SR would take, at most, 5 or 10 minutes.
