Python (learning places?)

Hi there, I'm currently learning the basics of python and I was wondering if I could get some help so I can further my learning.

Where are some places where I can learn Python?
Is anyone willing to help me here and there?

Currently, the program functions from a single line of input (eg, silver red white blue orange green white red blue as an input example)

It then looks at the inputted string, and sees if there is a 'red' or 'blue' within the input. If it finds one, it increases the counter by 1 however it will not surpass that 1.

I need to get it to count further than 1, and count all the values.

If somebody could help that'd be great!
