I wouldn't really recommend python for web development. Python is a general use programming language which is great, you can use it to make games, pen test with it, web scrape, and even make discord bots etc. But when compared to php it does fall short because PHP is so easy to use with html, css and javascript (its made to be used with these languages). They're both back end languages but you can't do a lot of things with python that you can with php, also if the things that php can't do I'd recommend to use javascript to do it. Javascript is generally more recommended since its the most used programming language out there and it has its uses in back end and front end development so picking it up means that you can do everything you can with python + front end. This isn't me hating on python its a great language (maybe the best one for pen testing) but when it comes to web development you cant beat the good old dream team of javascript + php
I would actually recommend python for tasks related to web development.
Python has a great ecosystem for web development, with brilliant libraries like: Flask, CherryPy, Pyramid and Django
Python is easily deployable on web servers and such, and due to the sheer ecosystem in Python for web development, you can easily get something up and running
Python is also battle tested with web development with large companies such as Spotify, Mozilla and Reddit
It’s very easy to make severs and other web related stuff in python
