Hi there, I am here today requesting some help from the MCM community.

In the past few months, I have had terrible troubles trying to find a quality, reliable and efficient developer to develop my server. I am wondering what is the best way to test developers to see if they are up to standard to develop on my projects? I have little knowledge coding in Java so reviewing their code is not really a practical thing to do. What things can I look for/get then to make that will help determine whether or not they are high-quality devs?

If you are a developer and your work is of high quality, you have spare time to develop, you speak good English and have a lot of knowledge about Minecraft, game mechanics and in spigot/bukkit APIs please reach out to me. I have a decent amount of work for you! We have some very cool ideas and features we would like to see come into action.

My discord is GearBox#0007
Regards, GearBox :)

High performance, consistent uptime and fast support. Minecraft hosting that just works.

A large portion of the "good developers" either left before the sudden resurgence of Minecraft, or are contracted to a server fulltime (and, by good, I mean the knowledgable ones who had a decent reputation). Nowadays, it's just service teams everywhere. However, the Offering - Developers section on Spigot still has some experienced users (4+ years) with a fair-few amount of vouches. And, if that still doesn't work, personally reaching out to developers of popular, high rated plugins is another way of contacting them.

So, yeah, if you're less experienced with Java, you can go off other peoples vouches and reviews, and the overall amount of downloads a plugin has. Or, you can get someone to do a slight code review for you.

I don’t know why people seem to have problems finding “quality” devs are there kids accepting jobs when they can’t finish them? You either can or can’t satisfy the requirements of the buyer. If you want a dev who will get what you want done hmu
