Question about Hosting

Hello. I'm very interested to get into hosting and sell minecraft servers. Is there anyone that can give me some advice and answer my question on Discord? I've sold webhosting before so I have a bit of knowledge when it comes to WHMCS etc.

Minecraft server hosting is a quite saturated market. I would not recommend you to get into it, as your time can be used better if you do something else instead.

Thank you for your answer. Last year I rented a dedicated server and just had it for fun to learn things with Ubuntu and Pterodactyl/LinuxGSM aswell with different game servers. My main concern about hosting Minecraft server is that people sell Ram so cheap now days when you can rent a machine for $50 and the Ram is 32 GB. Are people really overselling when they try to sell 10 GB Ram Minecraft servers for $15?

Yeah that's what I used to rent Minecraft servers for a few years ago. My idea was to mainly focus first on Minecraft & Source Games. The dedicated machine I have in mind right now is, do you think its a good place to start at?

Wait till hetzner lowers price again for amd servers
2 x 512 GB NVMe SSD - those are in raid soo ur left with 512gb

That feels way to risky as being new into the industry when you have to pay for a datacenter spot and ddos protection when OVH and Hetzner offer that. After a few months I feel I can buy my own hardware if it goes well.
