Question about OG accounts...

Why do people put a "*" in replace of certain letters in OG names when they're selling them? I may sound nooby, but I never fully understood why they do that.

For example, if the username is Tough, it'll say T*ugh. Why is that?

This is because the accounts could be "banned" or blacklisted. Also there are bots that scrape names on forums so using the * disables it from picking up your name.
