I placed a bid on a 2012 capes account and after 2 days of no one else bidding I checked back to see that the thread was deleted. Is it allowed to delete threads with a current bid potentially because the current bid isn't good enough for you?

It depends. I generally delete my threads if it’s trashed or if it has a lot of posts on it.
It is allowed to delete posts with a current bid though.
