I have a question, and I thought this would be the best place to ask it. What is the best thing you can do as a developer when your services aren't good enough. I used to have people ask me for stuff like full factions plugins for 100$ and I realized how much work that took. It would have took all my effort to get it done. I wouldn't be able to talk to friends, or even have the ability to stop. I feel like thats not how things are supposed to be done and that it is probably only me doing this. What is the problem, am I just not experienced enough or is a factions plugin too much of a load on 1 person. I like doing more of plugins for management and stuff anyways so like permissions, banning, anti-vpn. Mostly utilities. If anyone can give me a suggestion or 2 that would be greatly appreciated.

PebbleHost
High performance, consistent uptime and fast support. Minecraft hosting that just works.

First of all, don't get 100 projects to deal with.

Have a time frame that suits you and that you're comfortable with it.

Work from set hours, for example, from 10 AM to 6 PM and then stop your work for the day.

Extra 3-5 days on your project will not kill someone so that would be the best solution in my head.

There are a few possibilities. Maybe you're a bad / slow coder. Maybe you need to quote more. Maybe you need to switch markets.

From my experience on MCM, most people are really cheap, and they get screwed for that. Whenever there's an employer who has a project that's been going on for a really long time, or has been scammed more than once, it's already a red flag for me. Most people who fall into this criteria have no idea what they're doing, and will go with the lowest quote which will usually backfire for them.

I'd recommend applying to be a developer on any servers you've played, or have watched youtube series on. You'll need to make sure you have a good github and or resume. Nearly any good jobs will also require those.

Thank you. I didn't realize that it wasn't my best option. I think in my free time I will create plugins and upload them to get experience until I can become good enough to work on a big server that I am a fan of.
