So basically my friend uses some fork of iHCF aka para core whatever is the core , and he was trying to find and fix the bug with the sugar cane(You can place sugarcane on everyblock).
So I am asking did anyone or does anyone know how to fix that bug and where exactly is the issue with BlockPlaceEvent?

Couldn't you just have a PlayerInteractEvent and check if the action is RIGHT_CLICK_BLOCK then check if the item in their hand is sugar cane, then if the block they're clicking isn't sand then cancel it?
