So , i am really curious about what is VPS or Dedicated Server or a minecraft server. So which one do you guys recommend and which one is the best? Who do you think is the best host provider.

PebbleHost
High performance, consistent uptime and fast support. Minecraft hosting that just works.

If you want cheap, shared hosting is great. However if you want performance, and to be able to host other things like a xenforo forum, then a dedi is the way to go.[DOUBLEPOST=1468009914][/DOUBLEPOST]
Depends on your budget really, but if you want good quality servers I suggest buying a plan on OVH.com and if you want a network go with a 64gb-128gb server and install windows and your good.
No, not a Windows server, they are less secure, and don't preform as well. Far better off with Linux, and just paying a little for someone to set it all up for you.

OVH or SoYouStart are the best VPS/Dedicated Server company in my opinion. You totally get what you pay for.

These are quite different things.
A VPS is a server that you use to route your internet activity through to have a different IP (very poor explanation, someone else can do it better)
A minecraft server is all software, it's the instance that minecraft runs on on the server, with plugins and stuff. Spigot is currently the best option.
A dedicated server is more of a hardware thing. Normally when you rent a minecraft server you'll get only a part of the actual hardware, unless you get a really big package.
With a dedi you rent the entire bit of hardware.

For OHV , what plan do you think is the best plan for 100 players with 130+ plugins

A dedicated server = a computer or server (linux) that runs only things for a really powerful minecraft server, you can make new servers and stuff in the 'dedi' but you don't have a desktop view, it is a console instead meaning it is hard for people to use if they are just starting out. Minecraft Server = a minecraft map that can be multiplayer and can use mods and plugins, anyone can join your minecraft server once it is either port forwarded or if you are using a host like mcprohosting (which I recommended but it is not 'cheap') it is instantly available for the entire world but people need the IP address (and sometimes host) to join your server which you can add by going into multiplayer, add server and you will see the options.

I'd say 64gb at the minimum but 128gb would provide a good amount of lag free for your players. But for example pvp.thearchon.net they use 21gb for their smallest community.

So should i get a VPS with 30 GBs , is that enough for 50 playerbase?

30 gigs is overkill for 50 player base unless the gamemode is very extensive. You really only need like 16.

DEFINITELY WOULD NOT RECOMMEND OVH. Over the past 2 weeks they have been getting hit off, it's not just once every couple days. It's a regular thing. Their DDoS protection imo is complete garbage. I'd recommend using SyS (SoYouStart) which is what my server uses, and I've had no problem for the 5 months or so my server bought a Dedi from them.

Mc-32 is still a dedicated server plan on OHV right? If so I would get that.

If youre starting and have no experience use a shared host I would recomend the one in my signature (friendly, great support, easy to use) If your experienced with Linux and setting up server buy a dedicated server or vps these are harder to work with but you have full control.
