Question for Discord Server Owners - Would you use your server to make money if you had the chance?

Just thought of this; would you run ads on your server to make some extra money?

Or, if you don't own a discord server, would you be fine with seeing ads? (being in a general channel or something)

This is something that's been going on for a while, it's sort of giveaway ads with nitro or other prizes being the rewards for those who've won. I've ran a couple of those discords although I have lost more money than gain.

spent way more on gaining members and lost time in running it as I was in the hospital so I lost members and it became inactive.

ads are profitable if you invest money to it, most of the times at the beginning its much more to lose than gain

only if u have big active server u can actually start earning

I would probably sell adds and do giveaways, this will be a profit for the community and you since you are making money with it! Although you shouldn't do it to much! Do it like 2 times in a week max.. Maybe if your community wants more then you can do it more but I would personally stick with 2 times a week..

It depends, if it was community then yes, but friends no. Option to toggle on/off would be fab.
