Question regarding editing plugins

Say i want a simple thing edited on a plugin, would I need the src in order to do that or is the jar fine.

Yes, you would need the SRC in order to do that.

Wouldnt you be able to add it to the config?

Shanks It depends on whether you have access to the plugin source code. Make sure that the plugin is allowed to be edited first, this is generally stated on the plugin download page within the description.

Overall, I highly suggest not editing a plugin code without permission. If you edit the plugin without permission and you are caught, there will be a consequence.
