Question regarding PvP mechanic downgrade.

Hi folks,

So some plugins allow 1.9+ servers to use 1.8 or 1.7 PvP mechanics. How good are these plugins? What are the strengths and weaknesses? Would it be advisable to purchase/create a plugin like this?

The mechanics in theory work fine however, you may end up with a plugin that lacks certain mechanics from 1.7/1.8 such as rods not working right, hits or knockback not working properly or hacked client features such as reach or hit boxes not registering on an anti cheat.
