I'm assuming you're talking about PayPal G&S, to be honest, try to STAY AS FAR FROM G&S AS POSSIBLE, only accept it if you need to, even with verified accounts your account can take a big dip and become limited within seconds, especially in other countries, not also that but you can also face more common chargebacks and more bullsh*t, that can slow down transfers and actually ruin your personal account (assumed).
Disagree, I’ve done over 200 sales using G&S and have not had a problem to date. I’ve only seen problems happen with F&F

I can also agree with that, however some accounts are more at risk with G&S than others (especially personal accounts).
G&S also keeps you on better terms with PayPal in my honest opinion. That's what they really intended for sellers to use. It might be tempting to get around fees by using F&F, but I feel like you look more sketchy doing hundreds of dollars of deals a day via F&F; eventually it raises flags on PayPal's end.

At least if you're using G&S, while chargebacks are a possibility, you don't raise flags of potential fee avoidances.

I also think if you establish a quality relationship with most clients, you won't encounter chargeback issues. (In my experience at least) - I try to make memorable experiences for my clients, so should a chargeback come into their mind, they maybe contemplate their decision twice, because of the positive experience that was provided.

Best,
David

Mixed feelings about receivig g&s on my business account.

Pros: better standing with paypal (since you use the correct payment method for the transacted goods, it fits the paypal type (business), lower chance of being limited compared to F&F payments, where excessive use of F&F can trigger their automatic security system. Lower fee than f&f.

Cons: much easier (for the common internet user) to charge it back, and again can harm your standing with paypal with the potential disputes, claims, refunds etc. G&S payments gets much more often put on hold, and during that held time a lot of things can happen that can result in negative outcomes for you.

Man, from dealing with hundreds of customers of all types, I would avoid Paypal at all costs. You never know who's going to chargeback, and because you're providing something without a tracking number attached to it, Paypal is always against you.

Agreed. Got chargedback $160 my only course of action right now is to report them where I can
