I'd say the Adobe Suite might be your move.

I would recommend adobe premiere pro but if you don't like adobe products then maybe sony vegas? or something easier to use, like filmora (should be fine for basic trailers).

i reccomend davinci resolve. i run it on my really old imac and it runs fine. it has lots of good stuff in there. there is a free and paid version (i use free)

Just get yourself a cracked version, filmora should be fine with low specs pc but you need some resources to render a video
