I know I sound like a noob, but I am going to be run a network and I am going to pick up a dedicated server and I was wondering how they are different from normal servers and if they are even different? Like are you able to host a few servers on it or can you only host one on it(by dedicated server i meant off a website like reliablesite)?

Thanks

Yes, you can run multiple Minecraft servers off of one dedicated server. They (the Minecraft servers) will all just be utilizing different ports. Using a program such as Multicraft makes this a really easy process to run multiple Minecraft servers on a single dedicated server.
